European Certification Program in Risk Engineering and Management

Structure of the Certification Program

The professional certification program, along with the European Master program in Risk Engineering and Management, is created by Steinbeis Transfer Institute Advanced Risk Technologies and supported by participants of iNTeg-Risk, involved in WP4.10 related to the training and education in the field of emerging risks due to new technologies. The program is envisaged as unique professional qualification scheme which will allow building and setting up a standard for experts dealing with risk management and engineering in different fields on European level.

The certification program offers an opportunity to develop specific knowledge and skills for assessment and analysis of risks in their actual or future professional field (health and safety, environment, risk governance, industrial safety, law, etc).

The program includes five certification schemes for the titles:
  • Risk Professional

  • Risk Examiner - HSSE*
  • Risk Examiner - Plant/Asset/Equipment**

  • Senior Risk Assessor – HSSE*

  • Senior Risk Assessor - Plant/Asset/Equipment**

* Hazard Oriented Risk Engineering and Management in Industry
** Plant Oriented Risk Engineering and Management in Industry

The certification schemes are designed combining the courses from the main curriculum to allow profiling the specialist on the different levels and in two main tracks; Hazard Oriented Risk Engineering and Management in Industry and Plant Oriented Risk Engineering and Management in Industry.
